Build my own website free

Build my own website free and in just minutes (with video proof)

Build my own website freeAs a small business owner myself, I know time is of the essence. A business doesn’t run itself, does it! So whether this is you, or whether you are an entrepreneur who doesn’t want to get bogged down trying to create a website for your enterprise, help is at hand. There are loads of places you can build your own website these days, but not many of them are free. Not only that, but this method is the quickest I’ve seen in over 20 years of marketing. So if you want to build your own website free of charge and super quickly, you are in the right place.

A note for beginners first…

Owning and running a website is never 100% free, because it has to be hosted somewhere. Unless you have your own server (in which case, you would be an Note for Website Beginnersadvanced web user, and wouldn’t even be reading this article), your website will need to be hosted by someone else. As this is a service, it’s only fair that there’s a charge for this. After all, you aren’t setting up a business to give things away for free, so why expect someone else to give you something for nothing. But don’t worry, it’s quite a competitive environment for this service and the costs have come down a lot. I talk more about this later, after showing you how you can build your first website for free.

Let’s build a website for free and super quick

Instead of creating a whole lot of waffle here, I’m going to get straight to it and give you access to a video that literally proves how to build your own website in a flash. This guy actually does it in around 30 seconds, but I’ve said it can be done in minutes to allow for people to take a bit more time – especially if you’re new to this! Let’s take a look, by clicking on the image below. After watching this, you can check out further down in my article about the particular benefits of building your website this way.

Build a website in minutes

What are the advantages to building my own website using this method?

==> It’s built using WordPress

Build a WordPress WebsiteWordPress is one of the most widely used web-building platforms in the world. But what does that mean for you, I hear you ask? Well, for a start it’s also one of the easiest to use. Having lots in common with Microsoft Word, most people find it a doddle to write the text their website needs. There are also these nifty little things called plugins, which give you almost unlimited functionality. For example, to make it easy to share stuff on social media. Why do I think it’s the best? Well, I have built websites using Wix, 123Reg and WordPress, and I have to say because of the simplicity WordPress is by far my favorite. I’m not going to go all technical on you here, but basically you don’t have to worry about HTML code or trying to create stuff using web language.

==> You can get free hosting & save money

Save Money on Web HostingUsing this quick and easy set up, you are able to have two websites free of charge. All you need to do is create a free account at when prompted to do so, and you can get these two websites. I’m not going to be misleading here, they will have a “siterubix” extension as part of the website domain, but that’s a pretty small concession to make. You can always upgrade at a later stage if you want to have your own domain name. (See more about choosing domain names here).

As a long-time marketer, I see nothing wrong with taking a bit of time to develop your website before switching to your own domain name. This creation in minutes allows you to get up and running quickly online and for free, which is what you want.It gives you the opportunity to become familiar with writing pictures, inserting text etc, and then once you are comfortable with how it looks, you can always swap it over to a domain name without the “siterubix” bit.

==> You can get help?

Help with website questionsYou can ask questions! Yes that’s right, there are real people you can ask for help if you get stuck anywhere along the way. For me, that’s so awesome, and I used it when I got started. There’s no such thing as a silly question, right? We are all different with a range of skills and knowledge, and with a community of 100,000s worldwide, there is bound to be someone who is in the same boat as you. There’s no automated telephone, no technical department emails, just real people who can answer real questions.

==> You can use your new website for literally anything!

It doesn’t matter what you want to use your site for, there are really no restrictions. You can choose your own theme/design, and there are literally heaps to choose from. You can promote whatever you want on your site, or you can use it to blog about a hobby or passion you have.

A website for anything

One more point to make, and then why not get started?

Is hosting really free?

Yes and no, and it depends – sorry, I’m not trying to be vague or confusing, so let me explain.

You can get a website hosted for free, but the name of it may not be what you were thinking. If you go for this option, you will likely have an extra extension to your domain name. As I mentioned above, in this example you will get a “siterubix” extension. Most web-building platforms are the same, if you want the free option, so you are not losing anything by going with the free option I demonstrated above. In fact, I think I’ve also given you three great advantages above for doing it this way.

I would love to hear what you think of the video, and if you have any questions don’t be shy. You can leave your comments or questions below.Otherwise, I hope you choose to give it a go – remember it only takes minutes, even if you’re not experienced.
